About MERYC-ENGLAND

We are a UK-registered charity dedicated to raising standards in early childhood music education by connecting researchers and practitioners across England.

Our Story

MERYC-ENGLAND was founded in 2016 as the English chapter of the international MERYC (Music Educators and Researchers of Young Children) network. We evolved from the former MERYC-UK to focus specifically on the unique needs and opportunities within England.

As a registered charity (Number: 1169504), we have grown from a small group of passionate educators to a thriving community of researchers, practitioners, and advocates all united by our commitment to excellence in early childhood music education.

Our journey has been marked by continuous growth, innovation, and impact. We have established ourselves as a leading voice in the field, bridging the gap between research and practice.
